"Back Country Adventure Ministries operates year-round. However, getting into the backcountry during the winter can be very challenging. So what else is there to do? Well, you are always welcome to come for dinner, hang out, play some board games, gaze into a fire or simply sit in a recliner and enjoy some wholesome conversation and company. Do you need a place to enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter dinner? We have a huge table with a place for you. But winter also lends itself perfectly for some interesting day trips. We frequently take historical day trips to places like Bent's Old Fort in La Junta, Colorado, and Fort Laramie near Torrington, Wyoming. Sightseeing trips to Mt. Rushmore and Devil's Tower are likely destinations. A ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad in Georgetown, Colorado, or a trip to one of the many museums close by are also crowd-pleasers. And, of course, we're always open to your suggestions. Give us a call and see what we're up to, join in the fun, go someplace you didn't know about, or someplace you've always wanted to go." |
